I feel as though I have a pretty happy marriage. I kid about the "imperfections" of my husband. But, I recognize it takes work to be "happily" married. The rewards of that work far outweigh the actual work! And, it can't be all work. It also needs to be fun & laughter & joy & hugs & smiles.
I wonder how many of these I've done consistently over the years?

What a great list! When I look it over, I do those things regularly, however, checking them all off everyday would be even better. Taking myself too seriously? Hmmm.... taking HIM too seriously might be more like it, lol! I think women sometimes don't lighten up like we should. I'm learning :) Thanks for sharing (visiting from Ann's).
ReplyDeleteAlways blessed to connect with my friends from Ann's page. Love your thoughts on lightening up! I need to take that advise from time to time myself. Thanks for saying hello & visiting my little page!
DeleteHi StuckinIndiana,
ReplyDeleteI'm stopping by from Ann's link up to count gifts with you. These are nice marriage reminders. It sounds like we had similar focuses this week. I really resonate with the tips in your post here on choosing joy, and being quick to forgive.
Blessings on you and your man this week! May you have laughter, joy, close bonding, and intimate talks.
