Just a glimpse of me...

Do you ever feel STUCK? In 2000, I began looking for answers to some tough questions in my life. I'd searched high & low and finally conceded to search the promises found in the Bible. Those promises have sustained & guided me through the loss of a parent, the struggle with anxiety & depression, the loss of a valued relationship and so much more! I've found joy amid the pain. And, I want to share it with you!

sunrise thoughts 01 October 2015

Last night's sunset was incredible. What a way for September to go out.

We LOVE October around these parts and, a quote was recently shared on our page about September:
"Ah, September! You are the doorway to the season that awakens my soul... but I must confess that I love you only because you are a prelude to my beloved October." ~ Peggy Toney Horton  #quote
This morning's sunrise brought a much colder day - with temps in the low 40's for the morning walkabout. The sunrise was much less dramatic than the previous evenings sunset. But, it still had its beauty. For years our sunrise pictures were taken from the east coast of south Florida -- often overlooking the Atlantic ocean. These past years, our sunrises are usually seen over miles of farm land. Our current sunrises might not capture the heart of everyone. But, anyone would be remiss to not see the beauty of a sunrise in any location on our earth.

Because...

Each sunrise brings a new day... for new experiences... for new memories to be made... for dreams to be sought after... with new strength... with forgiveness from yesterday's shortcomings...

Join our family this month as we share our sunrise thoughts! Each day will be different. None of the posts will be very long. After all, we all seem to have pretty busy lives, right :)

Writing every day in the month of October with the write31days community.

  1. Caitlyn, you can be sure I'll be here for each days' sunrise thoughts, with a notebook and pen in hand! Thank you for sharing your beautiful sunrise pictures - and the beautiful words to open eyes to "new experiences"! "Each sunrise brings a new day" for us to "try again" if we didn't get it right...

Thank you for sharing your words...and your heart!

  2. Okay, I just got all caught up on your sunrises and meditations - yes, of course I went backward!!! I think we are sisters from other mothers. WHERE in So FL did you wake up all those years? I lived in Lake Worth/WPB for 30 years prior to our move to the mountainous countryside of NW NC in 1988. Did we ever meet on a SoFL beach for a sunrise? xo

    1. Ummmm... we might be sisters from another mother AND we might have actually walked those beaches at the same time!! I was there from 72-89 when we moved to the wonderful land of "stuckinindiana". Where in NC? I lived in Hickory when I was really young & have friends in the Brevard area too!
