Do you ever feel STUCK? In 2000, I began looking for answers to some tough questions in my life. I'd searched high & low and finally conceded to search the promises found in the Bible. Those promises have sustained & guided me through the loss of a parent, the struggle with anxiety & depression, the loss of a valued relationship and so much more! I've found joy amid the pain. And, I want to share it with you!

2016 April 1 of 3 ONE THOUSAND GIFTS

Three Gifts A Day: APRIL 2016

I took the 1,000 Gifts Dare for the year of 2012... continued in 2013... and 2014... and 2015. Going to hit 5,000 in 2016!!! GOD IS FULL OF BLESSINGS...

4-1 Fri
4540 lots of laughs at lunch with Barb & Chip
4541 bees & a green roof at the LOML's workplace

4542 the view in my neck of the woods 
4-2 Sat = kicking butt and taking names off the "To Do List" while a killer weather front moved through
4543 an early visitor (The Little) and then going back to sleep
4544 my favorite chicken rangler
4545 crazy weather AND crazy NEIGHbors
4-3 Sun
4546 windmill cookies w/my coffee
4547 a cold but sunny day to continue cleaning out the barn
4548 two packed full dumpsters

4-4 Mon
4549 plenty of awesome Maya Angelou quotes
4550 tons of yard work
4551 a quick blog post based on honesty 

 4-5 Tues
4552 a sense of accomplishment - although I can hardly wait for the new fence to go in!
4553 throwing stuff away
4554 spilled oyster crackers - aka "Oh DeeDee, I found you!"

4-6 Wed 
4555 a Godly, loving, responsible man in our lives 
4556 working with a purring cat on my lap
4557 too big for the chicken coop AND visions of the future :)
4-7 Thur
4558 hints of spring - regardless of the HAIL today
4559 end of IDOL with the LOML & the daughter
4560 reminders of FAMILY that make me smile
4-8 Fri
4561 beautiful clouds & colors for sunrise
4562 memories... and actually getting rid of a TON of older clothes that I no longer wear or need AND ones that are falling apart (my long-sleeved race t-shirts)

4563 the SPA for my 5 golden comets
4-9 Sat - attended the Gaither Spring Tea :)
4564 blizzards & blue skies
4565 friends - new ones & ones for years!!
4566 stopping for pics along the way home

 4-10 Sun
4567 presents left on the path
4568 pink umbrellas - a rainy day without thunder = the Little walking with a pink umbrella
4569 letting the Little drive the Mini around the circle

    How awesome. I kept a list through about 1200. Wanted to take pictures like you have, but that never happened. ha! The Joy dare is beautiful and keeps us in practice for finding our joy!

      I agree Amanda! When we get to rushing through life, I think we have a tendency to forget all those little blessings that are peppered throughout our lives.

    I love this!! I did #JoyDare for two years but since have stopped. Almost at 5000! That is awesome. I loved your comment about windmill cookies. That takes me back to my childhood!

      Thanks for stopping by & leaving a comment Mary! Windmill cookies remind me of growing up in North Carolina. They were always my favorite snack at Sunday School and Bible School!! My daughter bought them at Trader Joe's and THEY WERE YUMMY
