Just a glimpse of me...

My photo
Do you ever feel STUCK? In 2000, I began looking for answers to some tough questions in my life. I'd searched high & low and finally conceded to search the promises found in the Bible. Those promises have sustained & guided me through the loss of a parent, the struggle with anxiety & depression, the loss of a valued relationship and so much more! I've found joy amid the pain. And, I want to share it with you!

sunrise thoughts 11 October 2015

What do you think of when you hear the word "perspective". My mind first goes to an artistic and/or photography meaning.

Whenever I take a pic, whether on a real camera or my smart phone, I am always thinking of the perspective of
the "shot". I always seem to be looking for the best angle and best lighting and best composition and... the list goes on. This morning as I was dipping under the dew-laden limbs of the old shagbark hickory tree AND as I was swaying back & forth behind the pines AND as I was crouched down alongside the remains of the corn stalks in the field AND as I was slow rotating to get a good panorama of my view... it occurred to me:

I don't seem to think twice about working a little extra hard
to find, see & capture the good in my photos.
But, do I put nearly that much effort into
finding, seeing and capturing the good in the people & situations
I encounter each day in my life.

That thought reminded me, well it challenged me, to be more intention to look for the good. ... to capture the good... in everything and everyone around me.
