Sunrise thoughts... seriously...
sunset thoughts would certainly be easier - especially when it came to catching some good shots. But, I gave them both consideration before picking my topic for the October #write31days challenge this year & was drawn to sunrise.
My first thoughts as I wake are often things like...
* Goodness, is it morning already?
* I was awake for hours in the night. Wouldn't it be the responsible thing to just roll over, cover my head with the blankets & rest my body??
* I hope it's foggy & rainy so I don't feel compelled to go outside for pictures today.

But, I've found over the years, that if I can get my body up & out the door that with the sun will come new energy for the coming day. A line from the Book of Psalms in the Bible was a great morning starter a few years back when the LOML & I walked a rough road together. It was often a cry in the night on many a sleepless night. Let the morning sun bring me hope... proof... good news...
The sunrise (even when I see no sun on the horizon) is always a source of peace & energy to face the coming day. Each day is a new, fresh start to do something different or better or... with our lives.
This morning's view of the freshly harvest cornfield on the south of our property -- approximately one square mile of open field now...

Beautiful photos! Love your topic for this series!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Alesha :) I love taking pics & I love pairing them with great quotes, sayings, etc. I've had fun with this topic. And, my family thinks I'm totally crazy for going outside, no matter the weather, to see the sun rise :D
DeleteI am a morning person, Caitlyn, and although this time of year it is ever so tempting to stay in that warm cozy nest we call bed, my bladder reminds me to GET UP!!!! Wish it were more spiritual than that but...I am loving your morning pics. In fact I am going to go catch up because I am slack in reading the posts "far away" from mine!!! xo Up with the Son, Susan.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for reading the posts Susan. I'm a morning person - although sometimes I'd prefer to do my mornings with coffee in hand & wearing a comfy robe & slippers.
