I just can't contain my excitement over the OPENING of the Visual Arts of Chautauqua Institution Students Exhibit that I just had to create a little pic for it. I'm on my way and will post more later. In the meantime...

The show was GREAT. It opened at 3pm with a line out the door. Within 15 minutes all three of the oil paintings our daughter did were SOLD. How exciting!! The money she will make from those sales will really help with the costs of these 7 weeks for her :) The exhibit will be open to the public for a few more weeks. The individual work continues for 3 more weeks for the VACI students --as they create more art in their studios.

Crazy Computer Skillz! - 31 DAYS OF CRAZY - 04 October 2012

I spend a lot of time on the internet & social media each day. I'm "big into" communicating. People assume that since I know so many ins & outs of Facebook & Twitter, that I am a whiz at tech stuff.  NOT SO MUCH!

In the past few years, writing has grown to become a valuable outlet for me to share what I face & what I feel with others. The blogging connection has taken on a little more time recently.  We read the book One Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp in a book club and, the visits to her site are eagerly anticipated each day.  I've found other bloggers & authors to follow as I have attempted to find meaningful quotes & tips to share with my "audience".  

Yesterday, I stumbled upon he Nesting Place and their 31 Days of ... feature. I decided to join the gang.  I had the blog posts all ready for the first 3 days of the month.  There's plenty of CRAZY in my life.  I could probably write a CRAZY post daily for the rest of my life - if things continue as they have been :)

I might be pretty good at communicating things (is the gift of communication a spiritual gift?) but, I'm definitely lacking on the computer skillz.  After too many hours trying to create a button for my 31 DAYS OF CRAZY blog posts AND with the help of several patient friends, I came up with a "button" with my lovely "accidental" show choir poof hair...

I'm not gifted in some areas but, I'm going to do my best to share my heart with the world.  Maybe someone will resound with or be encourage by something I share!

A spiritual gift is given to each of us so we can help each other.

Don't Have Much To Give...

Some days I feel like I have pretty much to offer. However, most days I feel I have very little to offer. What does God require of me? Just what He's given me - no more, no less.

I Peter 4:10 tells us, "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another." All I have to do is give what I have in the name of Jesus & in His service. 

There's an older song (written in 1924) which I love. It's recorded here by Ernie Haas & the Signature Sound. Little is much when God is in it...

The words totally resonate with my heart. There's a crown & you can win it - if you go in Jesus' name.

God makes EVERYTHING we have exactly ENOUGH. What seems little results in much when given to Him. So, we just need to give it all & let God use it in accordance to His plan.

Luke 12:48b says, "When someone has been given much, much will be required in return; and when someone has been entrusted with much, even more will be required."

We all have been given so much! Like the saying goes, "Life is great. Don't let circumstances and society fool you into believing it's not."

I choose to be thankful for what I have. I choose to give what I have. I choose JOY!
