If one picture speaks a thousand words, how much is spoken as you pour over years & years of memories captured of a loved one who has gone on?
Just recently two pretty amazing people in our area went on to receive their heavenly reward. Both individuals had

- Do you ever feel STUCK? In 2000, I began looking for answers to some tough questions in my life. I'd searched high & low and finally conceded to search the promises found in the Bible. Those promises have sustained & guided me through the loss of a parent, the struggle with anxiety & depression, the loss of a valued relationship and so much more! I've found joy amid the pain. And, I want to share it with you!

HAPPY ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY TO...
It feels funny to make a big deal over something that I created & that I administer... but, today I am making a big deal of AND celebrating the ONE YEAR BIRTHDAY of the stuckinindiana Facebook page!
It's kind of a dream come true -- in that I finally feel that I have a forum for communicating with so many more people than just my small circle of friends. And, "the world" might not look at what I share. But, at least it's out there in a very accessible format and location.

Friday Follow-up Foto #061915
Here's #061915 Friday Follow-Up Foto for the week.
If you read the post on Wednesday of this week, Broken Things -- All Around, you learned of our classy patio fencing and my desire to, as Elsa sings, LET IT GO!

Well, today that chicken wire fence is looking even better :) The day lilies are flourishing!! The lesson in that? Time often makes things better!!
Writing the post earlier this week was so freeing that I might just have to write about how wonderful last Saturday was when the LOML mowed & weeded the entire gravel driveway!! (Yep! You read that right!)

Really, What Are Mere Mortals... Photos From My Drive Home...
I could NOT resist stopping again & again to take pictures as I drove home tonight. The beauty was incredible. My camera couldn't capture it. All of the following pics are without any filters -- just God's colors. Here are a few pics I took...
I cry out with the Psalmist:
What are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them? Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor. You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority—the flocks and the herds and all the wild animals, the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea, and everything that swims the ocean currents. O lord, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth! Psalm 8:4-9

Crazy Habits! - 31 DAYS OF CRAZY - 05 October 2012
Today was wonderful... gray, cool, rainy... a perfect day for a photo shoot. And me, the one who doesn't want to leave her house for all sorts of social things, is CRAZY about going outside for photo shoots in inclement weather...
- Walk-abouts in a blizzard - bundled up & looking like the Michelin Tire woman
- Putting on leopard Target rain boots to hike across a newly plowed, muddy field to check out a small wooded area for recent deer trails
- Sitting in a car beside the ocean in a lightning storm to see if I can catch a brilliant lightning strike with my camera
- Slowly driving alongside newly harvested fields in search of gorgeous displays of autumn & peaceful moments
Today was such a day. And, I couldn't resist it. I donned a light rain jacket (since I usually CAN'T stay IN the truck) and headed out for a mid-morning photo shoot in the rain.
I just recently read a National Geographic news article stating that women see colors more vibrantly than men do. Could that be? I'm sure National Geographic wouldn't lie. And, it certainly would be explanation of the lack of ardor from my husband when I shriek with excitement, "Stop the car. Let me take a picture. Isn't that awesome!?!"
Regardless of the validity of that study, I am so very grateful that I get SO excited about the simple beauty of changing leaves & muddy puddles of rain & horses coats soaked with rain as they graze in a field & grass worn down in a path in a wooded area across the field by last night's deer. For me, they are all signs of God's love for me. He made me the way I am - to love & be touched by those simple things.
I might have some CRAZY HABITS... but, I am blessed daily by so many of them!
